
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – May 5, 2026– The Ministry of Energy (MOE) is publicly announcing the list of companies that submitted their expressions of interest (EoI) in the upcoming 100 MW Mandalgovi Wind IPP project. EOIs were requested to be submitted by the 3rd of May 2026.
The Government of Mongolia through the MOE is seeking potential investors to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain the Mandalgovi Wind IPP. Amongst the list of EOI applications are five local and seven international firms and consortia.

This priority project of the Government of Mongolia aims to support the scaling up of renewable energy (RE) in reaching the 30% target for the RE’s share in the installed capacity by 2030. The invitation for EOIs is a first step of the tender process. The MOE is planning to issue the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in May and the issuance of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is expected in the third quarter of 2026.
